Upon Home Depot’s acquisition of Husky Tools, they aimed to generate excitement through an expansive mobile tour, demonstrating the tools’ resilience and ability to complete tasks even under challenging conditions.
The vision involved crafting a mobile workshop fully equipped with Husky tools, which would travel across the country, making stops at Home Depot stores. This provided both customers and Home Depot Associates with the opportunity to experience the enhanced capabilities of the new Husky tools firsthand. Mother NYC, their agency, enlisted Aardvark, experts in experiential customization to bring their ideas to life.
Aardvark initiated the process by securing a semi-truck and customizing it to become a one-of-a-kind “toolbox” on wheels. The interior of the truck featured a pegboard wall, strategically designed to accommodate a variety of tools. A custom toolbox was installed underneath, providing not only storage but also a unique organizational system. Screwdrivers, saws, wrenches, and other tools were meticulously arranged on the wall, creating a visually appealing and functional display. This innovative approach not only showcased the versatility of Husky tools but also made the truck a mobile workshop where tools were both easily accessible and impressively showcased.
The 8-month tour concluded with resounding success, leaving Home Depot & Husky Tools delighted with Aardvark’s partnership, dedication, and increased sales for the brand.
